Family Offices, Angel Investors and Corporates Invited to Invest in Chile

Amix Tech Lab is building a platform to connect Chilean startups, technology companies, agricultural projects, real estate developments and productive assets with Family Offices, private investors and international corporations. The strategy focuses on networks across Texas, California, New York, Mexico, Dubai, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, South Korea, Japan and Australia.

A new internationalization strategy is seeking to change the traditional direction of business flows: not only helping Chilean companies expand into international markets, but also inviting international capital to invest in Chile.

Based in the Coquimbo Region, AmixTechLab.com, a technology business accelerator and Business Development platform, is developing a network designed to connect Chilean investment opportunities with Family Offices, angel investors, private investors, corporate investors, Private Equity firms and international companies seeking access to new markets, technologies and productive assets.

The initiative is led by agronomist and Business & Sales Strategist Maximiliano Morales, who believes Chile’s regions offer attractive opportunities for international capital across sectors including AgTech, FoodTech, FinTech, ClimateTech, WaterTech, BioTech, MiningTech, artificial intelligence, real estate, agriculture and tourism.

“We want capital to come to Chile as well. Our approach works in both directions: helping Chilean companies enter international markets while also inviting the world to look at the opportunities available in Chile,” says Morales.

Chile as a Gateway to Latin America

AmixTechLab’s thesis is that Chile can serve as a laboratory, pilot market and gateway to Latin America for international companies and investors.

The Coquimbo Region, in particular, offers opportunities in agriculture, mining, water management, energy, tourism, agribusiness, technology and real estate. Other Chilean regions complement this offering with capabilities in manufacturing, forestry, food production, wine, mining and technology services.

The objective is to build a pipeline of investment opportunities that can be presented to Family Offices, private investors and corporations according to their investment interests and long-term strategies.

Texas as a Gateway to the United States

One of AmixTechLab’s main international focuses is Texas, which has emerged as a major hub for technology, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, energy, mobility, advanced manufacturing and startups.

Companies such as The Boring Company, Tesla and SpaceX illustrate the convergence of technology, infrastructure, private capital and industry transforming the state.

For Morales, beyond any individual company, what matters is the broader ecosystem developing around Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, where AmixTechLab is strengthening local connections to support both Latin American companies seeking to expand and Texas-based investors interested in Chile.

Dallas–Fort Worth represents a major corporate, financial and logistics gateway. Houston offers particularly relevant opportunities in EnergyTech, WaterTech, mining, infrastructure, construction and environmental technologies.

One example is IMBERT Labs, a WaterTech startup from Ovalle, Chile, which is exploring Houston as a market for connecting its technology with Texas-based investors and business networks.

Austin, meanwhile, brings together startups, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, FinTech, Bitcoin, mobility, deep tech and advanced manufacturing, as well as a major creative economy linked to film, music and events such as SXSW.

California and New York: Capital and Technology

The U.S. strategy is complemented by California and New York.

Following innovation studies at the University of San Francisco, Morales identifies opportunities in Silicon Valley, San Diego and Los Angeles, particularly in technology, BioTech, ClimateTech, aerospace and private investment.

AmixTechLab also plans to promote technology missions to California for regional entrepreneurs, allowing startups and business leaders to directly experience innovation ecosystems, universities, technology companies and investment networks.

New York provides an additional platform for access to financial capital, international corporations, Family Offices, professional services and investment networks.

Mexico, Dubai and Europe

Mexico represents another strategic platform for Chilean companies seeking to expand their markets and gain closer access to North America. AmixTechLab works on soft-landing, Business Development, customer acquisition and strategic partnership models.

In Dubai, the strategy focuses on connecting Chile with Family Offices, private investors and business leaders interested in Latin America, particularly in real estate, hospitality, agriculture, food, mining, energy and technology.

In Europe, the network includes London, Germany, Portugal and Italy, creating opportunities across technology, finance, industry, agribusiness, tourism, food and wine.

From Buenos Aires, Gabriela Luna Romano contributes a network developed over more than two decades in Argentina, as well as professional connections in Portugal and Italy, strengthening the Chile–Argentina corridor and expanding opportunities toward Europe.

Asia: South Korea, Japan and Australia

AmixTechLab’s new international strategy also includes connections with South Korea, Japan and Australia, not only as potential sources of capital but also as markets for commercial, technological and industrial partnerships.

South Korea offers opportunities for Chilean companies working in technology, mining, energy, food, advanced manufacturing and electronics.

Japan may be particularly relevant for agriculture, food, water, energy efficiency, infrastructure, technology and sustainability.

Australia offers strong potential for cooperation with Chile in mining, agriculture, energy, natural resources and applied technologies.

The strategy is to identify Family Offices, private investors, entrepreneurs and corporations that can become long-term partners in Chilean projects.

Agriculture: Investing in Crops and Productive Assets

One of AmixTechLab’s emerging areas of focus is attracting international investment into Chilean agriculture.

The platform seeks to connect investors and Family Offices with opportunities involving avocados, citrus, almonds, kiwifruit, vineyards and other high-value crops, combining agricultural production with technology, water management and export-oriented business models.

The objective is not limited to investing in agricultural companies. AmixTechLab also seeks to present real productive assets to investors looking for long-term opportunities.

Country Real Estate and Rural Development

Another area of interest is Country Real Estate, combining land, agriculture, tourism and real estate development.

The priority areas include the Coquimbo Region, Aconcagua and the Los Lagos Region, each offering different investment characteristics.

Coquimbo offers opportunities related to export agriculture, fruit production, rural tourism and properties located in agricultural areas.

Aconcagua combines a strong fruit-growing and wine tradition with proximity to Santiago and major logistics centers.

Los Lagos offers opportunities linked to nature tourism, agribusiness, livestock, conservation and rural properties.

The objective is to present these territories to Family Offices and international investors as opportunities where land, agricultural production, tourism, conservation and real estate can be integrated into long-term investment strategies.

Innovation and Project Preparation

The investment-attraction strategy is complemented by the experience of Juan Carlos Núñez, founder of URKAN Innovación y Proyectos, who contributes expertise in innovation, productive development, financial intermediation, technological capabilities and project development.

URKAN’s mission is to transform institutional knowledge into competitive advantages for companies and projects, supporting initiatives from formulation through implementation and consolidation.

This experience complements AmixTechLab’s international network by strengthening project preparation, access to financing instruments, stakeholder coordination and investment readiness.

A Platform Connecting Capital, Companies and Territories

AmixTechLab has a database of more than 45,000 newsletter subscribers across more than 15 countries, as well as a digital community of more than 50,000 contacts and followers.

Its network includes mining and energy companies, real estate developers, construction companies, agribusinesses, exporters, hotels, wineries, technology companies, Family Offices, private investors, angel investors, corporations, universities, technology centers and public institutions.

Morales’ experience includes serving as Manager of the Chile Vitivinícola 2.0 Strategic Program at CORFO, Senior Project Manager and Head of Content for the international Wine InnovaTech seminar supported by CORFO Viraliza in the Valparaíso Region, as well as Business Development, PR and internationalization projects for startups and companies.

Organizations and startups connected to his professional track record include Arauco, SQM, INIA Cauquenes, OpenBeauchef, Alfi, MundoCard, PortalTerreno.com, Revogreen and IMBERT Labs, among others.

AmixTechLab’s goal is to build a platform where capital, innovation, companies and territories can connect.

Chile can offer investors new opportunities across technology, agriculture, mining, water, energy, real estate and tourism, while Chilean companies can use the same international network to access customers, partners and new markets.

In this scenario, La Serena and the Coquimbo Region aim to become strategic connection points within a new international business and investment network, linking Chile with the United States, Mexico, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Australia.
