Chile will hold first OpenAI hackathon for creators of ChatGPT

The first official OpenAI event in Latin America will be hosted by Chile-from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, in the building of the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) in Santiago, the Capital of Chile.

IA Camp is a three-day event that will feature talks from subject matter experts and a hackathon. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate and compete to solve challenges using solutions powered by artificial intelligence that have the potential to transform the future of Chile and are supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation.

The event will be attended by the Minister of the Ministry of Science, OpenAI executives, speakers and technology expert mentors. The first day of activities will be a private event, for the press and authorities, which will be transmitted via streaming, in which they will be able to learn about the latest trends and advances in the industry, both in technological and social matters.

The second day will be dedicated to project development in a hackathon, where teams will work on innovative ideas focused on artificial intelligence.

In parallel, a conference will be held, which will also be broadcast by streaming with the aim of expanding the discussion and dissemination of the implications, impact and opportunities of artificial intelligence through talks and conversation panels. Prominent personalities from the world of technology, innovation, business and entrepreneurship will participate in the previous ones.

On the last day, the teams will have time to finish their projects, culminating in the deliberation of the judges, who will be important figures from the technological, public and business fields. More than $10,000 in prizes will be awarded.

Participants will have access to leading AI models, specialized mentoring and opportunities to advance their ideas as well as advance their professional careers.
